Zion is a bank‑partnered payments platform in development. Our goal is to let approved customers split purchases into 4 payments (“Pay‑in‑4”) and fund those purchases from approved sources - including, in the future, select crypto wallets - when laws and partners allow.
No. Zion is not a bank. Any lending, BNPL, or card features will be offered by one or more partner banks (Member FDIC) and program managers, subject to approval and local law.
Not yet. Pay‑in‑4 and card features are in development and subject to partner and regulatory approval. After our bank/processor approvals and a short closed beta, availability will vary by state and merchant category.

-
Join the waitlist (shopper + merchant).
-
Apply for the Charter Pilot (merchants; limited spots).
-
View our Proof Hub (policies, what’s live vs. roadmap).
-
Connect & fund an approved source (e.g., a supported wallet or other eligible funding option).
-
Apply & get a virtual card - if approved, a temporary card can be provisioned to your mobile wallet.
-
Split in 4 - pay over time with clear schedules and disclosures. Fees and terms vary by partner and jurisdiction.
Mobile‑wallet tokenization may be supported when our card program is approved by partners. Apple Pay and Google Pay are trademarks of their respective owners and do not imply endorsement.
Yes. Identity verification, sanctions screening, and fraud checks are required for any financial features. Some regions will be restricted.
Underwriting and reporting depend on the partner bank. We’ll disclose clearly before you accept any offer.
ZION does not compete directly - we complement. Apple Pay is fiat-only. ZION creates a new category of spending utility that no one else is offering.
You’ll see a clear schedule (4 payments) and any fees upfront. No hidden or “junk” fees. Late fees, if any, will be capped and disclosed.
You’ll have card‑like protections for disputes/refunds under our bank/processor rules.
-
Higher conversion & AOV on $75–$1,000 orders.
-
Lower cost vs. big BNPL: pilot pricing often ~4.5% MDR (category‑dependent).
-
Faster cash: target T+1 settlement (subject to processor capabilities).
-
White‑glove onboarding + rate lock for Charter Pilot partners.
-
Fast start: hosted payment link or simple button.
-
Deeper: native checkout integration via our processor rails.
You settle like standard card transactions; refunds and chargebacks follow card network/program rules.
Some categories are limited by bank policy and law. We’ll review your MCC/category during onboarding.
1. Apply for the Charter Pilot - Share your store URL (Shopify/BigCommerce), contact info, average order value (AOV), and monthly volume.
2. Fit Check - We confirm your category/MCC, AOV sweet spot ($75–$1,000), refunds/returns policy, and payment stack.
3. Diligence - Provide legal business name/EIN, storefront URL, chargeback history, state/country coverage, and a finance contact.
4. Pilot Agreement - Sign a short MSA/addendum with ~4.5% MDR pilot pricing and a 24-month rate lock (category-dependent).
5. Integrate - Sign a short MSA/addendum with ~4.5% MDR pilot pricing and a 24-month rate lock (category-dependent).
6. Go live controls - Order caps, conservative approvals, target T+1 settlement, clear fees, and a documented dispute workflow.

7. 30/60 Day Reviews - You get a dashboard (approval rate, AOV lift, refunds/disputes). We decide together on scale-up.
We keep fiat money on regulated bank/processor rails (Zion does not custody customer funds) and lock down any future on-chain contracts/treasury with audits, multisig, timelocks, and real-time monitoring.
We will maintain a public “Proof Hub” with links to audits, treasury addresses, and change‑logs for our Terms/Privacy. Until then, please treat roadmap items as forward‑looking.
Fees and terms will vary by partner, state, and product type. You’ll see a clear schedule and disclosures before you accept any offer.
We follow data‑minimization principles and collect only what’s necessary to provide the service and meet legal obligations (e.g., KYC/AML). See our Privacy Policy for details.
Reach us via the contact method listed on our site. For program‑specific questions (cards, BNPL), support may be provided jointly with our program manager and issuing bank once those products are live.
